Brody Cress scored an 85 in the seventh go-round saddle bronc riding at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas on Wednesday night. That was good for fourth place and winnings of $12,877.

That leaves Cress in second place in the aggregate standings, with 598.5 points. just slightly behind leader Zeke Thurston with 600.5 points.

Fellow Wyoming cowboy Tanner Butner of Daniel finished out of the money after scoring an 83.5 in the seventh go-round of saddle bronc riding on Wednesday night. Butner goes into Thursday's action in 6th place with 590 points.

In bareback riding, Cole Reiner of Buffalo tied for sixth place with a score of 84 points. He is still in third place overall with 591 points.

Rodeo action will continue at the NFR on Thursday in Las Vegas. The rodeo runs through Saturday.
