Mets prospect Brandon Nimmo was back in Cheyenne to talk to students at Alta Vista Elementary School about the importance of staying in school, finding something you love to do and working hard at it.

Nimmo, who was selected in the first round of the 2011  First Year Player Draft by the New York Mets, said he knew at an early age that he wanted to play baseball. He told the students he worked really hard at baseball but also worked hard at his schoolwork. Nimmo says he enjoys coming back to Cheyenne because he gets a "ton of support from not only Cheyenne but the entire state of Wyoming."

Nimmo says his baseball career is going well and he thinks he made a lot of progress this year. He says he will work hard in the off season and try to get to high "A" ball next year. He says if he stays healthy he hopes to make the big club in 2-3 years.
