After years of fighting the good fight, the president of the Boy Scouts of America, is ready to bow the knee to homosexuals taking leadership positions in the scouts.  Former Secretary of State and President of the Boy Scouts of America, Robert M. Gates, called upon the Scout's to end the ban on gay leadership amongst their ranks. He warned the groups executives that "we must deal with the world as it is, not as we might wish it to be."

The reason for Mr. Gates wanting to compromise the values and morals of the Scouts was for fear of law suits and the impending Supreme Court decision due to be out in June 2015.

Mr. Gates is also concerned that the change will eventually come as a force rather than a willingness on the side of the Boy Scouts themselves.

The Mormon Church is a main sponsor of the Boy Scouts, thus overseeing over 437,000 youngsters as of 2013.

However, if parents and scout leaders disapprove of the potential decision, there is an alternative group that continues to grow in large numbers. Trail Life USA came about in 2013, after some Boy Scout groups began allowing homosexual leadership.

No final decision as been made as of today.
