Agreement Could Increase Options For Cheyenne Golfers
Golfers who live in Cheyenne or at nearby F.E. Warren Air Force Base could have more places to play soon if a proposal supported by the Cheyenne City Council Finance Committee this week wins final approval.
The proposed reciprocal agreement would allow Cheyenne golf enthusiasts to play on the F.E. Warren Golf Course, while residents of the Air Force Base could choose to play at the Cheyenne Airport and Prairie View golf courses in Cheyenne.
Mayor Rick Kaysen says some details still need to be hammered out, such as allowing golfers from the city access through security at F.E. Warren.
But assuming those issues can be resolved and the full Cheyenne City Council approves the proposal, an agreement could be signed as soon as November 6 between the city and Air Force officials to implement the plan.
