Your Cheyenne Students Have Until Sept 25 To Get Immunized…Or Else!

Laramie School District 1 is reminding parents and guardians that the deadline for their school students to get immunized is right around the corner.Thursday, Sept 25 is the deadline for all LCSD1 students to receive their required immunizations if they have not done so already.

According to the school district's nurse, Chris Bartholomew, immunizations are required by Wyoming state law and notification of this requirement begins as early as February during registration and kindergarten round up, prior to the deadline in the fall.

If your student does not comply with the law, they will be excluded from school on Friday, Sept 26, 2014. At this time, you will be called to come and pick up your child from their school and take them to get immunized. Once the immunization of your child or children has been completed, then they will be expected to go back to school.

Vaccine is available at Cheyenne-Laramie County Health Department and other healthcare providers in the Cheyenne area. Don't put it off any longer. The time is now.
