JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Snowmobile season is winding down in Yellowstone National Park.

Commercial snowmobile and snow coach travel between Fishing Bridge and the park’s east entrance will end Thursday night. More roads will be closed to snowmobiles over the next two weeks.

Once all snow travel comes to an end, crews will start clearing snow from roads to get them ready for spring visitors. Park officials hope that work will be done by April 20.

The National Park Service is still studying how many snowmobiles and coaches to allow in Yellowstone, a plan they hope to implement in time for next winter. Public comments are being accepted through March 9th and a draft plan will be released in late spring.
