Wyoming’s Coolest Music Tour: The WYOmericana Caravan

Have you had a chance to catch the Wyomericana Caravan?

For the past four years, the Wyomericana Caravan has been showcasing Wyoming bands as they travel around the state and the region.

The Wyomericana Caravan 2016 features Screen Door Porch, Sneaky Pete & The Secret Weapons and The Littlest Birds. Each group plays an individual set, often times with guests from other bands sitting in, and they close out each show with everyone on the tour joining in on stage 'Last Waltz'-style.

It's a unique way to show off some of Wyoming's singers and songwriters and it may be coming to a venue near you. Here's a look at some of the dates on their 2016 tour:

• Gryphon Theatre, Laramie-Thursday, May 5. 7 p.m. $15
• Atlas Theatre, Cheyenne-Friday, May 6. 8 p.m. $15
• Swing Station, Laporte, Colorado-Saturday, May 7. 9 p.m. $10

The WYOmericana Caravan then rolls on to Lander before hitting Idaho, Utah and Montana on this year's tour.

Screen Door Porch are also featured in a Wyoming Tourism ad telling why they live in Wyoming. The band out of Jackson performs as a duo or a quartet. Sneaky Pete & The Secret Weapons also call Jackson home while The Lttlest Birds are from Laramie.
