While yesterday’s Wyoming’s winds were knocking over semis on our highways, Cliff Cox was at the Cheyenne Airport watching Boeing take advantage of conditions to test the Autoland feature of their new 787-10. The plane seemed to hang in the air as if came in on final approach to Cheyenne Airport while customers around the world watched for results.

In head to head competition at the Dubai Airshow last week, Boeing’s 787-10 was up against the Airbus A350 and a contract worth millions of dollars. Congratulations to Boeing for landing a sweet new order. Emirates committed to buy 40 787-10s, part of an order of more than 500 airplanes overall. Singapore Airlines has also committed to these American made wonders.

“The 787’s unparalleled fuel efficiency and range flexibility enable carriers to profitably open new routes as well as optimize fleet and network performance. And for their passengers, an experience like none other in the air, with more comfort and less fatigue. The Dreamliner effect. That’s a better way to fly.”
