The fourth weekend of spring is taking a backseat to winter with rain, snow and blowing snow depending on elevation and temperature. From travel cancellations of over 700 flights from DIA to back-roads just outside of town, travel smart, travel safe. Here's the road report from WYDOT as of 6:30 am Saturday, April 16:

I-80

I-80 is wet with snowfall from Rawlins to Walcott Jct, then slick with strong winds,  snow, blowing and drifting snow and limited visibility through Laramie and into Cheyenne, with Black Ice Advisories in place between Laramie and Cheyenne. 

EASTBOUND I-80 is CLOSED between Laramie and Cheyenne due to winter conditions, estimated time for this stretch to reopen is after 11 a.m.

I-80 is wet, slick in spots with strong winds and snowfall between Cheyenne and the Nebraska State Line. 

 

I-25

I-25 slick with strong winds and snowfall between Cheyenne and the Colorado State Line

I-25 is slick strong winds and snowfall, between Cheyenne and Whitiker Road, then wet with strong winds and snowfall to Douglas, then dry between Glenrock and Casper.

 

Hwy 85

Hwy 85 is slick with strong winds and snowfall between Cheyenne and the Colorado State Line

Hwy 85 is slick with strong winds, snowfall and limited visibility between Cheyenne and Meriden.

 

Hwy 287

Hwy 287 is slick with snow and blowing snow between Laramie and the Colorado State Line.
