LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of a Laramie man for plotting to use a homemade pipe bomb to kill the man he believed was have an affair with his wife.

The high court on Monday upheld Ryan Alexander Brown's 2015 conviction for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. He is serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole.

Brown's attorneys had asked for a reversal, claiming Brown was denied due process because of improperly admitted evidence. The Supreme Court found that some evidence was submitted late, but that it was not prejudicial to the trial.

Brown and his two co-defendants were arrested in 2014 after police found a device consisting of a length of pipe, end caps and a spark plug in Brown's garage.
