Renovations may be underway at the Wyoming State Capitol, but folks in town for Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) will still be able to access the building.

In addition to being open Monday through Friday, the Capitol will also be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the Saturdays during CFD.

Lynette West, Capitol Information Specialist, encourages people to check out the Capitol before it closes for renovations.

"There are things on the first floor to see, you can go into the House and Senate on the second and third floors," said West. "There's a self-guided booklet, free bookmarks, postcards, stickers, all kinds of different things, so anybody can come in and check it out."

The Capitol is one of only twenty in America that is recognized as a National Historic Landmark.
