Wyoming Secretary of State Max Maxfield is urging Wyoming residents to uphold the state's tradition for high voter turnout by registering and voting in the primary election on August 21.  Maxfield says if you are not registered to vote, you can do so at your polling place. Maxfield says  state law also permits voters to change their party affiliation at the polls on election day in order to participate in one of the two major party’s candidate selection process. Voters who did not declare an affiliation with a major party can only vote for  nonpartisan offices. Absentee voting is going on now. On August 21st, polling places will open at 7:00 a.m. and remain open until all those in line at 7:00 p.m. have cast their ballot.
