CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A new report says Wyoming's residents are becoming more diverse and older.

The report by the Wyoming Economic Analysis Division is based on U.S. Census Bureau population estimates from July 2015, as compared with five years earlier.

It found that state's minority population, which includes all ethnicities except white non-Hispanics, grew by nearly 15,000 people, or 18.6 percent, from 2010 to 2015.

That brought the total statewide minority population to 93,913. Hispanics are the largest minority in Wyoming.

The report says the state's citizenry is also aging at a faster pace than the national average.

The state's median age rose 0.2 years to 36.9 from 2014 to 2015. During the same period, the average U.S. age rose 0.1 years from 37.7 to 37.8.
