The Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission has hired a new Supervisor. Grant Black will take over the job on May 1st. Black held the same job in Arkansas from 1999 to 2004 and has 30 years of experience as a professional geologist. Black has a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in geology from Oklahoma State University. Black said “This is an extraordinary opportunity because of Wyoming’s leadership in producing energy for the nation and in developing models for the country that make sure energy production is done responsibly." Governor Matt Mead, a member of the Commission, said he is pleased with the decision that the Commission. Governor Mead also thanked Bob King for his excellent work as the interim Supervisor.
