A  new nurse alert system is being implemented in Wyoming.

Under the new system, nurses can choose to join the system when they renew their nursing licenses. Those who do so will then be available for mobilization during infectious disease outbreaks, natural disasters, terrorist attacks and similar threats to public health.

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center will host a presentation on the Nurse Alert Volunteer System on October 10 from noon until 1 p.m. in meeting rooms C and D.

Wyoming nurses can begin renewing their nursing licenses on October 1, according to a news release from CRMC.
