Will you be walking Saturday to support legal weed in Wyoming?

Wyoming NORML will hold their second annual Walk For Weed on Saturday, February 14, starting at the historic Depot in downtown Cheyenne at 1 p.m.

Participants will gather at the Cheyenne Depot on Saturday afternoon at 1 and will walk to the State Capitol building. Afterward, organizers plan to Bash The Border with a convoy to Colorado to purchase legal pot for ceremonies at Greenfaith Ministries in Nunn.

Greenfaith Ministries, 623 Lincoln Ave., will provide a sanctuary for supporters to gather at on Saturday afternoon. A ritual of prayer will be led by Reverend B. Baker and they'll pass the peace pipe and collection plate about 4:20 p.m. and provide munchies. Organizers ask that you let them know if you're going on the convoy so they'll know how much weed to buy.

Starting this year, a Walk For Weed is also scheduled in Casper for Sunday, February 15, at 2 p.m. beginning at Conwell Park, on the corner of Conwell and 2nd Street.

The Wyoming chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws, or NORML, is committed to educating voters on the many benefits of cannabis and they support the legalization of all cannabis products and businesses within the state of Wyoming. The organization has been in Wyoming since 2013.
