The Wyoming National Gaurd sent about 400 employees home this morning due to the federal government shutdown, that's according to Wyoming Military Department spokeswoman Deidre Forster

She says all of the federal technicians, mostly from Cheyenne were sent home. Forster says all of the state funded employees of the Wyoming Military Department are still at work as well as active Guard and Reserve soldiers and airmen as well as a few of the federal Civil Service technician employees who were exempted from the government shutdown for safety and health reasons.

Forster says the employees won't be called back until the government shutdown is over. She adds that the Wyoming National Guard is still able to respond to local disasters and emergencies at the request of the governor.
