CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Supporters of an initiative to get medical marijuana on the ballot still have some work to do before Wyoming voters can decide on the issue.

The Wyoming chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws has until Feb. 8 to gather nearly 25,700 signatures to get the question on the 2016 general election ballot.

The group's executive director, Chris Christian, says only about 20 percent of that goal has been reached, but the group remains optimistic that their efforts will be successful.
