The Wyoming Lottery has announced plans to launch the state's very own lottery game this spring.

The state has already been offering Wyoming residents the chance to play the Powerball and Mega-Millions lotteries since last year. Those games are part of existing multi-state lotteries that became available in Wyoming last year.

But Wyoming Lottery CEO Jon Clontz on Friday announced plans to launch the Cowboy Draw, a Wyoming-only game, on March 15. Clontz says the Cowboy draw will offer players the chance to purchase one ticket, with two separate lines of numbers, for $5.

The jackpots for Cowboy Draw will start at $250, 000, with the amount increasing until somebody wins.Clontz also says the Cowboy Draw will offer players a better chance of winning, with a 68 percent payout as opposed to about 50 percent payouts for Powerball and Mega-Millions.

The new game will allow players to choose five numbers ranging from 1 to 45. A player who matches all five numbers wins the jackpot.
