CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Both companies offering health insurance coverage in Wyoming under the Affordable Care Act report business is brisk ahead of Monday's deadline to register for insurance coverage that will start by Jan. 1.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming and WINHealth are the two companies offering coverage in the state. Officials for both companies say they've added thousands of new members since registration opened Nov. 15 and more are signing up every day.

Wyoming lawmakers on Monday are set to consider a proposal to expand Medicaid coverage to offer health insurance to some 17,000 more people.

The Joint Interim Labor, Health and Social Services Committee is set to consider options for the proposed Medicaid expansion. Gov. Matt Mead's administration has been negotiating with federal officials over possible expansion this year.
