Wyoming Gas Prices Climb a Penny

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Wyoming increased again last week.

Analysts with Gasbuddy.com say Wyoming’s statewide average increased by just over a penny to $3.63 per gallon last week. Meanwhile, the national average fell by about a penny to $3.58.

Patrick DeHaan, a senior petroleum analyst with Gasbuddy.com, says reduced supply in the Rocky Mountain region could be playing a factor.

“Wyoming tends to lag the national average – that’s been long-documented,” DeHaan said. “I have looked at supply situations in the Rockies and supply is a bit tighter than it was last year, so that may be a big part of it.”

Gas prices in Wyoming are about 15 cents than at this time last year. The national average is showing a year-to-date decline of about nine cents.

Gas is selling for as low as $3.38 in Casper, $3.46 in Cheyenne and $3.45 in Laramie.
