A website offered by the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality offers state residents real-time air quality data for locations around the state.

With the recent smoke from wildfires across the west degrading air quality in many areas of Wyoming, state officials are reminding people about the WYVISNET website.

The site offers air quality number updates and explanations, digital images of the atmosphere at locations around the state, and links to articles on air quality in Wyoming.

Reporting stations include Cheyenne, Casper, Laramie, and several other locations. DEQ spokesman Keith Guille says the agency also has some mobile monitoring stations, including one that was recently moved to Sheridan.

Guille says the website has been up for several years.
