The Wyoming Contractors Association (WCA) was recently honored with a top safety achievement award from the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).

WCA competed against similar-sized AGC chapters of over 200 members from across the country and received third place in the National Safety Awards Program for 2014.

"We are honored to be recognized by the Associated General Contractors of America with this important award," said Katie Legerski, WCA Executive Director.  "This clearly demonstrates our member companies' deep-seated commitment to safety excellence. Our members strongly believe in creating and sustaining a culture of safety in the workplace and ensuring each and every one of their employees goes home at night safe," she continued.

AGC of America has long been at the forefront of safety in the workplace, creating the National Safety Awards Program in 1926.

The association has over 26,000 construction firm members across the nation.

The Wyoming Contractors Association, established in 1932, is a trade association with 229 member companies.
