The Wyoming Business Council welcomes Richard Roller as the organization’s new manager of business finance.  Roller joins the Business Council with a 32 year career in banking, most recently as branch manager of First Interstate Bank in Lander, Wyo.  At the Business Council, he will manage the state loan portfolio, review and develop recommendations for Industrial Development Bonds, assess client financial conditions and recommend financial tools for their needs, manage the Challenge Loan Program, and other duties. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Chadron State College in Nebraska then moved to Wyoming to take a management trainee position at a bank in Basin, Wyo.  From there he advanced his financial career with First Wyoming Bank in Meeteetse, Cody and Worland where he held positions of cashier, assistant vice president of lending and bank president. Roller served as branch president for Key Bank of Wyoming in Riverton, Wyo., for 11 years; and later as senior lender for First Interstate in Cheyenne before becoming their branch manager in Lander. Roller is a graduate of the Colorado Graduate School of Banking, and of Leadership Wyoming 2008.
