WYO 130 Over Snowy Range Pass Now Open for 2012 Season

WYO 130 over Snowy Range Pass is now open for the 2012 season. The road, which connects Laramie and Saratoga, closes in late fall every year when heavy snow and reduced traffic cause actions to plow the road to be impractical.

WYDOT crews were able to break through the snowpack which remained on the road on May 13. Efforts still remain to break through snowpack on WYO 70 over Battle Pass between Encampment and Savery.

Both passes are in high elevation areas, and may have wet weather conditions and cold nights.

Despite WYO 130 being open for the season, winter weather conditions could still cause the road to close throughout the year.
