SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) — A judge in Sheridan has sentenced a woman for hitting two bicyclists with her vehicle last year, killing a man and seriously injuring his wife.

Hannah Terry was sentenced Thursday by District Judge William Edelman for aggravated homicide with a vehicle.

She also received a sentence of six to 10 years for driving under the influence and causing bodily injury, but Edelman suspended that in lieu of 10 years of supervised probation to run consecutively to the homicide sentence.

He also ordered her to pay restitution of nearly $188,000.

Police say Larry and Sara Hurst were riding their bikes last May when they were struck by a vehicle driven by Terry.

Terry pleaded guilty last December as part of a plea deal with prosecutors.
