There is no doubt about it, Cheyenne is a wonderful town on so many levels. With it's rich history, historical buildings and taste of "the old west."

As with any town, Cheyenne has it's own slogan, "Cheyenne - Live the Legend." This slogan immediately invites the reader to take a trip back in time, to whatever degree.

A time of newly laid railroad tracks, horses, trolley cars, cowboys and rodeo. It also speaks of a time of innovation and infrastructure with it's hotels and downtown buildings.

That is all well and good, however, as time progresses so do towns and Cheyenne is no exception. So, if Cheyenne were to change it's slogan, what would you like to change it to?

What would be appropriate, in your opinion, based on some of the advancements, problems or attractions you have seen?

Here are some ideas to get you started. I hope you would add some of your own creative slogans that would help advise, or even warn, visitors as the approach the "Magic City of the Plains."

  1. Cheyenne - "Where we allow YOU to fill your own pot holes" (Could be your ankle, your tire or even some loose change).
  2. "Home of the Big Horn Hotel" (Norman Bates has got nothing on this place.)
  3. "Where 'Big Holes' are a Big Conversation Piece"
  4. "Neil Diamond Lived Here!"
  5. "Where Cheyenne Frontier Days Is Your New Daddy"
  6. "Nine Miles Away From Where It's Always 4:20"
  7. "Where you can park down town for a whole two hours!" (What a blessing)
  8. "Where we allow sandwich wrappers to blow to Nebraska" (Including, but not limited to: cardboard, important papers, and tumbleweeds)
  9. "The Wind Block City"
  10. "Miller Moth Capital of the World"

So, now it is your turn. That should be enough to get you going. Please list your ideas on what Cheyenne's new slogan should be. You can leave them in the comments here.

You never know what might come out of this. You just never know.
