A Washington state woman died in a crash on Interstate 80 in Sweetwater County on Saturday, according to a news release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

Troopers were dispatched to the area of mile marker 146 near the Bitter Creek exit at 2:03 p.m.

Christine Keller, 52, of Morton, Wash., was driving a 2018 Volvo semi-tractor and trailer east on I-80 when it drifted from the left lane into the median and collided with a box beam guardrail and overturned.

Keller was wearing her seatbelt but died at the scene. The injured passenger in the semi-tractor was taken to the Sweetwater County Memorial Hospital in Rock Springs.

This marked the 110th fatality on Wyoming’s highways in 2018 compared to 121 in 2017, 112 in 2016, and 144 in 2015.
