We've all been in the place, no doubt, when we look at our phone and realized we are running low on battery juice. First instinct is to plug in, but be careful where you do it.

A new report has come out from KrebsOnSecurity, which shows that all public USB ports may not be the charging station you assume they are. The hackers are out and your personal information may be at risk of being seen by others.

According to the security firm, the problem is that your phone may not be able to tell the difference between a legitimate charging station or a video jacking station.

When plugged into a jacking station, the hackers can see your passwords, user names, photos, videos and view personal banking information, if you are checking on your account.

Best practice is to carry your own charger with you and if you find yourself in this predicament, simply charge your phone with your own charger, and avoid the potential of being hacked or exposed.
