You might ask yourself, why would I want to visit the poorest town in Wyoming? Well, they sure could use the money, so stop in and spend a little.

So open up a map and make your plans to visit beautiful Mountain View Wyoming. Mountain View’s median household income is only $16,875, according to Only in Your State.  Sure their population of 45 people there is not much for industry out that way, but there are towns in Wyoming that are smaller and more isolated.

Located just south of Fort Bridger far away from I-80 it is cut off from the interstate. But they actually do have a view of some mountains. So that is where people stop for gas on their way to those mountains. But no one wants to stay in Mountain View, because it is not in the mountains. Maybe if they moved the town up into the mountains and called themselves Mountain Wyoming people might want to visit or even move there.

Despite being such a small town, and so poor, they do have one claim to fame. Their little school football team, The Buffalos, were state champs in 1963,75, 76, 77. 80, 84, 86, 87, 89, 1990, 91, 92, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 2000, 03, 05, 06, 07, 08.

So there you go, they might be small, they might be broke, but they have something to be proud of.
