LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — University of Wyoming athletics teams will be taking several events to venues around the state and the region in 2013-14 in an effort to reach out to Wyoming fans.

UW’s football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, women’s tennis, track and field and wrestling teams will all hold either a practice or competition at sites around the state this coming year.

For instance, on Aug. 24, the Wyoming football team will hold a two-hour practice at Cheyenne Central High School and on Nov. 8, the Cowgirl Basketball team will host Montana State-Northern in a game to be played in Sheridan. The Cowboy basketball team will play South Dakota in Rapid City, S.D., on Dec. 7.

UW athletics director Tom Burman says coaches have worked hard to provide outreach opportunities for fans.
