Wyoming completed its second day of spring drills on Wednesday.

Fifth-year coach Dave Christensen says he likes that the team is showing improvement although he says skill players aren't catching the ball as well as he expects.

Christensen says the team is still getting into practice shape.

The first two practices of spring have been non-contact drills without pads. The team will begin practicing with full pads next week.

A total of 91 players, including 10 new scholarship players, are participating in spring drills.

In a change from previous springs, practices are being held in the mornings.

Christensen says he decided to conduct morning practices for the first time because he believes the players will be fresher physically and mentally sharper for classes. (AP)
