A single vehicle rollover crash 36 miles southeast of Mountain View on highway 414, claimed the life of 48 year old John B. Oliver of Provo, Utah on Monday afternoon.

The pickup Mr. Oliver was driving was traveling southbound on 414 at around 5:45pm, when he came to a sweeping left hand curve on a hillcrest. The truck went off the right pavement edge and Oliver over steered to the left causing it to rotate counterclockwise as it crossed both lanes. He over corrected again causing the truck to rotate clockwise crossing back into the southbound lane where it began to overturn.

The truck separated from a small utility trailer it was pulling and continued rolling over as it went off the right side of the road, traveled down an embankment and through a fence. Mr. Oliver was ejected during the crash as he was not buckled in and died at the scene.

Alcohol use and improper lane use are being investigated as contributing factors in this crash. This is the 124th highway fatality in Wyoming for 2014.
