A South Jordan, Utah, man died in a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 80 in Green River on Monday, according to a news release from the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

Lynn C. Zingleman, 64, was riding a motorcycle eastbound in a construction zone, according to the news release from Patrol Sgt. David Wagener.

Traffic was reduced to one lane in the westbound tunnel in the construction zone. The motorcycle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with the trailer of a tractor at 11:40 a.m.

The crash caused Zingleman to separate from the motorcycle, and then the motorcycle was struck by another tractor.

Zingleman was wearing a helmet, but he still died at the scene.

The crash caused a temporary closure of I-80. Traffic was diverted through the eastbound tunnel and the city of Green River during the investigation.

Zingleman's death marked the 85th highway fatality in Wyoming for 2015 compared to 83 fatalities by this same time last year.
