UPDATE: Cheyenne Shooting Victim Identified

Cheyenne police have identified the 37-year-old man who was shot in the parking lot behind the Lamp Lounge early Friday morning.

Officer Kevin Malatesta says Santos Carrera suffered two gunshot wounds. Carrera was flown to a Denver hospital where he is currently listed in critical, but stable condition.

Malatesta says the department continues to investigate the shooting and has yet to make any arrests.

"A green SUV was seen in the area at the time the crime occurred," said Malatesta. "It was driving at a high rate of speed and we believe it may be involved in this incident."
