CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — It may be late May, but snow is still falling in parts of Wyoming.

The National Weather Service posted a winter weather advisory on Wednesday for the Absaroka Mountains in northwest Wyoming.

Up to a foot of snow was possible above 10,000 feet and 8 inches mainly above 8,500 feet. Beartooth Pass was closed Wednesday because of heavy snow.

Elsewhere, a flood watch was posted for portions of northeast Wyoming, including the Sundance and Hulett areas where 2 to 4 inches of rain was possible.
