University of Wyoming President Dick McGinity is moving ahead with searches to fill several top UW administrative positions now held by interim leaders.

McGinity said in a news release that he hopes they "will have identified a permanent vice president for academic affairs and a permanent dean for the College of Engineering and Applied Science during the first half of the fall semester, and then be in a position to proceed with searches for the deans of the College of Business, the College of Education and the College of Law in the succeeding months.”

McGinity, who was appointed president of the university by the board in January, says details of the individual searches are to be determined, but that the process is getting underway. He updated the UW Board of Trustees on his plans during last week’s board meeting.
