LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees is scheduled this week to discuss recommendations from a study of the college's student housing.

The 10-year housing plan recommends the university tear down two of its residence halls and heavily renovate four others.

The total price tag could come to $245.4 million.

The trustees have the matter on their agenda Thursday in Laramie.

UW Vice President for Student Affairs Sean Blackburn says the plan has the potential to improve student recruitment and improve the quality of the student housing experience.

The housing plan proposes demolishing Crane and Hill halls and replacing them with suite-style residences and renovating White, McIntyre, Orr and Downey halls, as well as making street improvements.
