The dean of the University of Wyoming’s College of Law, Stephen Easton, has submitted his resignation effective Nov. 15th.

UW President Bob Sternberg says he was unable to persuade Easton to remain in the position he has held since 2009. The president says the university plans to act quickly to name an interim dean to assure continued strong leadership for the College of Law.

Sternberg this week began soliciting nominations for an advisory task force he plans to create to provide input on the College of Law. Members will include people from the Wyoming and regional legal communities, the Faculty Senate, representatives of the College of Law, and other stakeholders.
