Tricare To Cover Breast Pumps And Nursing Supplies For Veteran Family Mom’s

There is good news for mom's who could greatly benefit from the very coveted breast pumps. Tricare is set to cover these and other nursing supplies starting July 1, 2015.  Last Friday, June 5, 2015 an update was released to the Tricare policy manual. Beginning July 1, the military health program will expand nursing supplies, storage bags, bottles, breast pumps and counselling seasons with participating Tricare providers for Tricare beneficiaries.

If these items are purchased on-line or at a retail store, the subscriber would need to submit the receipt to Tricare for reimbursement. In order to be eligible for product reimbursement, beneficiaries of Tricare would need to file the claim along with a current script from their physician, and an itemized receipt.

More information and details will be coming out to Tricare subscribers on the release date, according to Tricare officials.
