The 2013 Rocky Mountain Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture Annual Conference will get underway Thursday at Little America in Cheyenne.

The organization will also hold it's Tree Climbing Championship Saturday at Lion's Park, according to Cheyenne City Forester Lisa Olson. She says topics to be discussed during the conference include recycled water, urban forest health, tree risk assessment and several others subjects. Following two days of meetings the organization's Tree Climbing Championship is slated for Saturday morning at 7:30 in Lion's Park.

Olson says that at last report 41 competitors had signed up for the tree climbing event. The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the ISA includes Colorado, Montana, New Mexico and Wyoming. Olson says at last count about 150 people were expected to attend the Cheyenne Conference.
