It has been said that, "Freedom comes at a price: a price that many have paid. Life doesn't last, but sacrifice does." That's the experience when you visit the wall.  You are being invited to show your respects to the men and women who gave their lives, on foreign soil, in the Vietnam War. They fought the longest war in American history. For many, it seemed like just another foreign war, but it wasn't.

From 1954 to 1975, it has been estimated that between 1.5 and 3.6 million military and civilians lost their lives. However, 58,220 U.S. military personnel died as a result of the Vietnam War. Now is our chance to pay our respects to those who lost their lives.

The American Veterans Traveling Tribute is coming to Lion's Park in Cheyenne from June 25 - 28, 2015. Visitors will be able to view the 'Cost of Freedom Tribute" this year, which is an 80 percent replica of the memorial as housed in Washington D.C.

Tributes will be free and open to the public 24 hours a day from 6 pm Thursday, June 25 through 2 pm Sunday, June 28, 2015.

There will be an opening ceremony and wreath laying, with speakers Lee Alley, a Vietnam Veteran and Wyoming's Adjutant General, Major General Luke Reiner.

If you haven't been able to make it to the nation's capital, to see the wall, now is your chance to view the replica. It's an experience that you and your family will not want to miss out on.
