CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The National Weather Service says the tornado touched down around 1 p.m. Sunday about 7 miles east of Carpenter in Laramie County. The agency also received reports of funnel clouds in the area.

There were no immediate reports of anyone being hurt or any major damage. However, there were reports of minor flash flooding in the area.

The storm system that spawned the tornado and heavy rain moved into neighboring Colorado and Nebraska.
