Craig Morgan Is Headlining The Concert

Sure, he's a country singer, songwriter, and former military member. But did you also know he's an outdoor enthusiast--dirt bike riding, hunting, fishing--and will soon add TV host to his long resume? "Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors" will be a fun addition to the Outdoor Channel. And with his trip to Laramie rapidly approaching, Craig Morgan has got to be looking forward to being in our great state as much as we're looking forward to hearing him play!

A man of many talents... with hits such as “That’s What I Love About Sunday,” “Redneck Yacht Club,” “Bonfire,” and “Wake up Lovin’ You,” this concert will be a fantastic start to the 2014-2015 school year.

You'll Get The Pep Rally/Tailgating Experience Right Away

Lots of changes have come to Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium in the past few years--so if you haven't been to the area, then you'll be in for a treat. New buildings, parking lots, and beautification efforts have ramped up.

And for UW football fans, Tailgate Alley is a familiar area to celebrate the sport, hang with friends, and enjoy traditional tailgating.

We're making it easier for you this year by bringing you food vendors and concessions. While no outside food or drinks will be allows, you'll be able to bring chairs, blankets and your enthusiasm for the University, Craig Morgan, and the start of another school year.

Get Pumped For Win #14 Against The Grizzlies The Next Day

Yep--the Pokes will play host to the Montana Grizzlies on Saturday, August 30. Less than 24 hours after the Cowboy Kick-off event with Craig Morgan hits.

According to the Grizzlies' website, "The teams have played 13 times and the Cowboys lead the series 13-0. The last time they played each other was in Laramie in 1997, when head coach Mick Dennehy's Grizzlies lost 28-13 to the Cowboys. The team first played in 1951, with UW winning 34-7 in Missoula."

This match-up virtually never happens--so let's make face-off #14 one to remember and rack up another win!

Celebrate Freedom Before School Starts 4 Days Later

The Kick-Off event and concert is August 29--and University of Wyoming classes start a mere 4 days later. Students will be filing into the residence halls that Saturday. Parking will be somewhat challenging after. And don't forget homework. Quality library and study-group time. And quizzes.

You'll be able to catch one more concert, get in a little more fun, and fill up on school spirit before even buying text books. It's a win/win for everyone.

(Remember the old location of Library? You can still tell your mom you're "at the library" when you're at the concert instead. And then head to their new location downtown after!)

Meet the coaches, cheerleaders, football players and Pistol Pete

Yep--in addition to seeing Craig Morgan perform, you'll be able to hob-knob with UW's finest. The coaches, cheerleaders, football players--even mascots Cowboy Joe and Pistol Pete will be on hand!

If that isn't enough, you'll get a chance to meet our Laramie Live, KOWB 1290AM and Y95 Country staff, in addition to staff from Casper and Cheyenne radio stations. They'll all be there to help ensure a fantastic, rip-roaring time (and we have a thing for oversized mascots and ponies, too).
