We'll kick of today's Morning Zone with a visit with Jim Kouri, at 7:07AM MDT.  Jim will talk about his latest column about Operation Gunrunner...Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), the Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, in a biting letter to Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) Acting Director Kenneth E. Melson, criticized the Director for failing to produce any documents in response to a subpoena issued more almost a month ago on March 31. The subpoena was issued after ATF and Department of Justice officials failed to cooperate in good faith with the Committee's investigation, according to Rep. Issa. Media reports have raised questions about the handling of operations involving gun trafficking into Mexico -- specifically the allegation that ATF has had a policy of permitting, and even encouraging, the movement of guns into Mexico by straw purchasers. This practice may have contributed to the deaths of hundreds on both sides of the border, including federal law enforcement agents.

Jim is, CPP, formerly Fifth Vice-President, is currently a Board Member of the National Association of Chiefs of Police, an editor for ConservativeBase.com, and he's a columnist for Examiner.com.  In addition, he's a blogger for the Cheyenne, Wyoming Fox News Radio affiliate KGAB (www.kgab.com).

Then at 7:37, City of Cheyenne Mayor, Rick Kaysen  will join us. He'll update us what's happening in the city on such issues as negotiations continuing on Powers Field, the latest on the round-about at 19th, Pershing and Converse, and the news that Marriot may still develop"The Hole", and we'll get the straight on negotiations between the City and LCSD#1 on providing water for the proposed Prairie View Elementary School.
