Have you noticed the colors changing on your tree's leaves?

Outside our KING studios on the third floor of the ANB Bank in downtown Cheyenne, we're starting to see different shades of green, yellow and red appearing in the leaves as summer nears an end.

The Autumnal Equinox will occur officially at 8:29 p.m. (Mountain Time) on Tuesday, September 23. The equinox is the moment when the Sun shines directly on the Earth's equator and equally lights up the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, according to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

On my drive to work along east 20th Street, I've been seeing some spectacular golden trees set off by Wyoming's deep blue skies. And the colors will only get better before the leaves all begin to fall off the trees.

In the high country, fall colors are plentiful. I've seen some great photos from Frisco, Colorado, near Dillon Reservoir where the leaves are all differing shades. If you've taken some nice colorful pictures around your place, share them here on our website and show off how beautiful Cheyenne can be in Autumn.
