The Wyoming Department of Corrections has issued a comprehensive statewide release policy in response to an April 10th incident where an inmate was released from the state penitentiary in error. Amy Richards has a report. Wyoming State Forester Bill Crapser says wildland fires are likely to be a continuing hazard over the next few weeks and is urging people who may be in affected areas to be ready to evacuate. Prison Industries Teach Job Skills

The Wyoming Department of Corrections maintains several manufacturing enterprises designed to help inmates develop job skills and good work habits. Chris Lansford of D-O-C says one of the programs is centered around sewing items ranging from bedsheets and towels to police uniforms. Other enterprises focus on printing, braille transcription, janitorial services and a variety of other occupations.
