UPDATE: Trustee Says Call Raises Uplift Questions (AUDIO)

Laramie County School District One Trustee Sandy Shanor says a call she placed to an organization that has agreed to act as ombudsman for bullying issues for the district raises some troubling questions. Shanor says the person answering the call to Uplift told her the number is only answered between 8am and 4:30 pm.

State Superintendant of Public Instruction Cindy Hill says the recent announcement by Laramie County School Disitrict 1 to have the Uplift organization serve as an ombudsman for bullying issues was a good decision.

Well, it looks like Laramie County School District #1 has made a choice to continue it's school bullying ombudsman program, but with UPLIFT? Really?

Officials at Laramie County School District 1 have announced plans to continue offering bullying ombudsman assistance for families in the community as part of the district’s overall package of services offered to address bullying and provide for safe schools.
