Cheyenne has been awarded a membership in Union Pacific’s Train Town USA Registry as part of the railroad’s year-long 150th anniversary celebration. Cheyenne received an official Train Town USA resolution signed by Union Pacific Chairman Jim Young.

Union Pacific's legendary steam locomotive no. 844 will leave Cheyenne Thursday morning pulling a special 150th Anniversary Commemoration civil war troop train with nearly 300 civil war historians on board. U-P spokesman Mark Davis says the train's eventual destination is Marion, Ark. From
UP Line At Swan Ranch Could Mean Jobs [AUDIO]
The Legislature's Joint Interim Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Committee voted unanimously to go ahead with a bill that would ban stand in nominee directors of corporations approved to do business in Wyoming. Cheyenne businesses say more jobs could come to the city if Union Pacific decides to build rail service that goes to the Swan Ranch Industrial Rail Park. Doug Randall has the details.
