TransCanada Corporation has reapplied to the US Department of State (DOS) for a presidential permit to build the proposed $7 billion dollar Keystone XL Pipeline. Doug Randall has the details. The Bureau of Land Management has published the notice of availability of the Draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement and possible land use amendments for allocation of oil shale and tar sands resources on lands administered by the BLM in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. The Bureau of Land Management will host two public meetings in Cheyenne next month on a proposed new public planning process related to oil shale and tar sands on BLM lands in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.
